Do we know that the Superior interior is identical to the Fox interior in every respect -- editing, coloring, inking and statement of ownership? Regarding the SoO see, for example, Bruce Gentry No. 6, Journey of Fear Nos. 6, 12 & 18, Mysteries No. 6, and U.S. Fighting Air Force Nos. 4 & 13. |

The statement of ownership is the same and the coloring choices. Execution of the printing is even lower quality than the Fox, but I assume it's the same plates. My copy was very delicate, so I scanned only the unique pages from the Canadian edition, so not a true archival scan outside of the uniquely Canadian pages. |

To be clear, then -- of all the Superior SoO we have so far, only this one was from Fox and not Superior? Okay, then. Well done. |

I don't know about the other issues, but here is an image of the COO from this one:

Well, that settles that, thanks. Makes me wonder just how Superior got their copies. Could Fox have sent them artwork (and/or or plates) and Superior neglected to swap out the SoO? Could Fox have sent them unbound copies and Superior added their own covers? Could Fox have printed the Superior version and shipped them to Canada for distribution? Was it something else? My guess is the first option, but I suspect that is just one more thing we will never know. Sorry for the extra work I put you through. The devil, they say, is in the details -- and in this case that would be me! |
