Synopsis: |
After dating unfaithful Mark and cowardly Jim, Beth loses her faith in men, stops dating, and moves to New York. She buys a matrimonial bureau, first disguising herself as a “plain Jane.” Wealthy Glenn becomes a client, warning her that he doesn’t want a “fortune-hunter.” Beth re-glamorizes herself and fills in on a date with Glenn. She falls in love with him but he thinks she’s after his money. Glenn loses his fortune, then admits he knew it was Beth all the time, and they will marry. |
