Page order fixed (we think) --- Charlie Chaplin's Comic Capers - Series 1 #315 [1917] M. A. Donohue & Co. - 16.5" x 10" First in a series of five issues with different titles to feature Chaplin. This copy was missing two pages. Damaged fills are added from an eBay listing of the same book. --- Contains very early, primitive art by future Thimble Theatre/Popeye creator E.C. Segar. This was his first regular strip which he would work on for a year. Segar makes an appearance in the strip on pg19 in the last panel after giving the Little Tramp a smack. Popeye would make his first appearance 10 years later into the strip and steal the show. |
